[11] Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales's Own)

Formed in 1969 from the amalgamation of the 10th (Prince of Wales Own Royal) Hussars and the 11th (Prince Albert's Own) Hussars.

[215] 10th (Prince of Wales Own Royal) Hussars

The Earliest Battle honour of the 10th Hussars was 'Warburg' (31st July,1760) [Seven Years War] where the British Cavalry won the day by most gallant charges against the French.

[216] 11th (Prince Albert's Own) Hussars

The 11th were present at the famous Charge of the Light Brigade (Crimean War). The motto of the 11th is that of the late Prince Albert 'Treu und fest' (Loyal and Steadfast)
