[333] The Hereford Light Infantry
Initially formed in 1861 from the amalgamation of the 1st/8th Herefordshire and 1st and 2nd Radnorshire Rifle Volunteers. In 1880 they were designated 1st Herefordshire Rifle Volunteer Corps (Hereford and Radnor). In 1909 they were redesignated 1st Bn. The Hereforshire Regiment.

[376] Tyneside Scottish (Kitcheners Army)
Kitcheners Army was raised at the start of the First World War (1914-18) as the direct result of an appeal made by the then Secretary of State for War, Lord Kitchener. The Northumberland Fusiliers raised five Scottish battalions the 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 29th, they wore this badge from 1915 until subsequent disbandonment at the end of the War.
