The 35th Foot were given the nickname 'The Orange Lillies' after the Battle of Quebec, from their orange Regimental colour and the fleur-de-lys of a captured French colour.

The North Irish Horse was raised on 7th January 1902.

[SB381] The South Irish Horse

The South Irish Horse was raised 7th January 1902, and disbanded on the formation of the Irish Free State in July 1922.
